Half Lord of the Fishes pose instructions

  • The Half Lord of the Fishes can be started in Staff pose by being seated on the mat with both your legs extended out in front. Step your foot outside of the left leg by bending the right knee. You can turn the left knee so that the left foot is next to the opposite hip.
  • By placing the right hand on the ground behind the hips, you have to inhale to lift the arm high and exhale to twist to the right and hook your left elbow outside the right thigh.
  • Try to lift through the head crown and root down through the sitting bones. Invite a gentle twist towards your right on every exhale.
  • You also have an option to gaze over the right shoulder. By holding five breaths, release back to the center. For a few breaths, keep yourself paused in a seated shape and then repeat the same on the other side.
